It's never too late

For what it's worth….

It's never too late,

Or in my case too early

To be whoever you want to be.

There's no time limit.

Start whenever you want.

You can change or stay the same.

There are no rules to this thing.

We can make the best or the worst of it.

I hope you make the best of it.

I hope you see things that startle you.

I hope you feel things you never felt before.

I hope you meet people who

Have a different point of view.

I hope you live a life you're proud of,

And if you're not,

I hope you have the courage

To start all over again.

I love this poem because it is so full of hope, optimism and empowerment. It is all about making the most of what you are given. There is so much possibility and opportunity for fulfilling your dreams and living up to your potential wrapped up in these lines of verse.

Much of our life experience is about perception and expectation. If we expect to be amazed and delighted, we are likely to perceive the world around us in a way which meets those expectations. If we expect to have opportunities to try new things and to reinvent ourselves, we will find ourselves to be curious and open to change.

If you have made mistakes or if you haven’t gotten off to the strong start you planned, you can always try again. You can become anyone you want to be if you have the courage to try and to keep trying until you succeed. When there are no rules and no time limits, the possibilities open wide enough for us to make our wildest imaginings our goals and to make our vision our reality. The responsibility for making it all happen lies squarely on your shoulders. Do you have the courage to pursue your dreams and to dream new dreams as you go?
